You will need
- Your Mac laptop
- A room with the BrightLink 1485 Fi Projector + Interactive White Board installed
1 - Turning on the projector
- Use the power button on the wall-mounted control pad to turn the projector on:
- When first turned on, the projector may show HDMI 1 or HDBaseT as the input source:
2 - Connecting your laptop
- Connect the HDMI cable from the white wall-mounted control pad to your laptop:
- Your laptop’s screen may simply appear projected in full size on the whiteboard (WB) automatically
- If not, it should appear as a preview on the projected input source menu:
- Wait 2 - 5 seconds for the full-screen projected image to appear:
- In the classrooms in the Arts & Technology Wing, the projector sound is output to the ceiling speakers in each class
- Play a video or audio file on your laptop to hear if the sound is automatically coming out of the ceiling speakers. If so, you’re fine. Otherwise, set your laptop Sound Output to Epson PJ.
- From the Apple menu open System Settings:
- From System Settings open Sound
- Select Output
- Then select EPSON PJ:
NOTE: If you connect the HDMI and USB to your laptop before the projector is turned on, the laptop screen may automatically project fully when the projector turns on (without you having to select any input).Sometimes when you connect the HDMI cable to your laptop, the laptop audio output will automatically switch to Epson PJ and you’re all set with the sound coming out of the ceiling speakers in the classroom.
